BenefitsMail Portal is operated by Cedar Ridge Benefits Services, Inc., a privately held company in Overland Park, Kansas.

The company started in 2013 as a print and mail operation for small insurance carriers, producing plan documents and mailing them on the carrier’s behalf. Electronic delivery was added in 2016, and the portal has been the main service since 2019. Most of our work today is annual enrollment and required notices for employer groups that do not have staff dedicated to mail operations.

We are 38 people: benefits administrators who read the files and check the wording, print and mail specialists who handle the paper side of the same campaigns, and a software team that maintains the portal. We do not sell benefit plans, we do not give benefit advice, and we do not decide who is eligible for what — that stays with the employer or the plan administrator who engages us.

How we work

• Every campaign has a named delivery administrator and a campaign reference that appears on all correspondence.
• Proofs go to two reviewers. One approval is not enough.
• Sending stays inside the working hours the client sets, in batches, so a mistake is caught early rather than after 5,000 messages.
• Reports are yours, in CSV, without asking.
